Monday Makeover: Natural Nudes

Oh how I love to do makeup on this gorgeous Canadian! You may recognize her from a post last month with the vampy lips! I recently did her makeup again for a fashion shoot and was able to do a more normal and neutral toned look on her. Sometimes it is a shame to do makeup on girls as beautiful as Marina, she literally needs nothing! So don’t judge because I would rather her wear none! I created a brown smoked out wing for her eyes and a touch of nude to her lips and skin! Check out this Monday Makeover below…

Foundation: Guerlain in 03 Beige Naturale with a damp Beauty Blender.

Powder: Makeup Forever  HD Microfinish – press this powder into the skin with a fluffy powder brush.

Highlighter: Girlactik Bronze Glow- This is a beautiful highlighter with a brown/gold tint! If you are looking for a product that will add instant tan glow to the skin, this highlighter is great for you!

Contour: Thebalm Bahama Mama- this matte-brown bronzer is a great contouring powder for the skin- apply to the forehead, jaw, and nose!

Eyeshadows: Lorac Pro ~ Lid –  ”Mauve” ~ apply all over the lid and blend into crease| Crease- “Espresso” ~ apply this dark brown with a small tapered brush into the crease | Eyeliner shadow- “Black” ~ apply with an angled eyeliner brush to the lash line and outwards to the crease and wing it out as if it were eyeliner- this creates a smoked liner look | Inner Corner- “Champagne” ~ apply to the inner corners of the eyes for a glimmering pearl glow. |

Lashes: Esquido lashes in “Unforgettable” - these soft and elegant feather lashes are a perfect touch to this sexy eye!

Lipgloss: Girlactik in Stargloss “Just Nude” - add this sheer nude and creamy gloss to finish off the look!

Monday Makeover: Bright Eyes

Hello Darlings!

This beautiful blue eyed beauty came in to me for makeup for a movie premiere a couple months ago and we got her all gussied up for it! She was obviously a natural beauty and didn’t need much so I just enhanced what she already had by adding a light foundation, highlight and some soft wispy lashes! See her full makeover below! XO

Sheridyn is a new mommy and got some light pigmentation under her eyes when she was pregnant. This is a very normal skin condition that happens during pregnancy or being in the sun too much. Hyperpigmentation can be lightened by using lots of Vitamin C and hydroquinone. If you are looking for a product to cover the pigmentation I have found the perfect concealer to do the job!

foundation: Dior Forever in 021 apply with a damp beauty blender for a light coverage
Concealer: Cle De Peau in “Beige” apply under the eyes for ultimate coverage!
Powder: Mehron Ultra Matte powder apply with a dry beauty blender to set the foundation- press the powder into the skin.
Contour: Tarte Amazonian clay bronzer apply with a fan brush to the forehead and cheekbones, contour the nose lightly too.
Highlight: It Cosmetics hello light powder  apply to the cheekbones, inner corners, cupids bow and down the nose.
Blush: Stila Custom Color Pink - this blush is adjustable to all skin types, apply with the same fan brush to the apples of the cheeks.

Liners: NYX “Milk” for waterline and line under with some brown shadow | Black liquid liner for top lash line – Eyeko
Lashes: Naturale Ardell #118 - pop these on and add some mascara
Shadow: MAC “All That Glitters” packed on the eyelid | “Mulch” in crease blended
Lips: Whitening Lightning gloss in “Sugar Mama” - the most pretty soft peony pink glossIMG_5946IMG_5951Sheridyn’s blog : Blue Eyed Finch

Makeover Monday: Exotic Beauty

 Ciao from Italy!

Today I am sharing this exotic beauty that was a bridesmaids for one of my lovely brides this past Summer. Her eyes are everything! She wanted a very sexy eyeshadow with a full contoured face. Dark shadows along with dark hair make light eyes really pop! I always love to see transformations that bring out the most beautiful features in people, and I definitely feel like these eyeshadows do!  I used the Naked Basics 2 palette to create her eyes, this is a perfect shadow compact for on the go touch ups as well. See more below…

IMG_6750 IMG_6793

Products used: I did a smokey brown/gray shadow for her eyes to make the blue pop. Gray tones really bring out blues! We also did a heavy contour to chisel her features, contouring can do wonders and really accentuate the cheekbones. See her sexy makeover below!

Foundation: Frankie Rose “Olive” foundie & Giorgio Armani #5 mixed | applied with Sigma F80
Concealer: MAC NC20 studio fix concealer
Powder: MAC Mineralize skin finish medium plus - press into skin lightly to soak up any oil.
Contour: Girlactik glow in “Bronze” - this golden bronze highlight is great for contouring!
Blush: NYX “Pinky” applied to apples of cheeks

Eyeshadow: Naked Basics 2 - “Skimp” all over lid | “Primal” in crease in a sideways V shape | “Undone” in the crease and extended out towards the crease | Add a pearl shadow on the eyelid and inner corners
Eyeliner: AOM Cosmetics liquid liner- line the lash line to hide the false lash base
Lashes: Huda Beauty lashes in Giselle and Samantha for extra thickness
Lips: Buxom full bodied gloss in “White Russian”

Keeping Clear: Skin Care While Traveling

Hello loves!

Since I will be traveling a lot over the next couple weeks, I am very cautious with my skin and how I care for it. Being in airports and big cities can always make my complexion a little irritated, so I make sure to exfoliate every night and never go to bed with an inch of makeup on. I like to switch up my skincare regimen every couple months. This month I am using very little product and I have been wearing less makeup so that my pores stay clear. See below my travel skincare routine and how I stay glowing from city to city! XOXimage

Image Skincare: Total Resurfacing Masque ~ I cannot live without this all-in-one masque/exfoliator in my life! It has really kept my pores clean and gets rid of all impurities. I like to exfoliate with this every night to take my makeup off. Some mornings I will apply it as a masque and leave it on for 20min. It is a stronger scrub and tingled quite a bit on the skin.

Natura Bisse: Diamond White Matte Sunscreen ~ I have been pretty oily on this trip due to all the climate changes, so I have been skipping the moisturizer and going straight to my favourite sunscreen at the moment, Natura Bisse. This line was formed out of Barcelona, and I had the chance while I was there last week of meeting with one of the owners and had a tour of one of their amazing spa’s. I received some of their new products to try and will be doing s review soon. But this sunscreen is a must, it is not oily, adds wonderful moisture to the skin and smells divine! This is serious luxury when it comes to SPF!

Motives Perfecting Primer ~ to add a little bit more of a “matte” look to my skin after all the exfoliating and hydrating, I like to add a small amount of this lovely Motives primer. It fills in any lines/pores and leaves my skin fresh and ready for my makeup application!

Feeling Flawless: Traditional Bride Makeup

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing with you the gorgeous bridal shots from one of my best friends weddings this past weekend! I was lucky enough to doll her up for all her events and photos! We did a very chic cat-eye look for her bridals, a smokey eye for her boudoirs {HERE}, and a sultry silver & black look for her wedding day. Working on this girls face is a piece of cake, she has flawless brows and beautiful skin. She was one of the first brides in a while where I didn’t use airbrush, we used Frankie Rose and Tom Ford foundation mixed for each look. To get her super flawless skin I used my nifty Beauty Blender- If you don’t have yourself one of these eggs, I would suggest to get up right night and pick one up! You wont regret it!

Friday Favorites: Top Ten

Happy Friday!
Today I am sharing with you my top ten favorite products at the moment, I was inspired to do this from my beautiful friend, Huda, please visit her page to see many more product reviews!  These are products that I cant live without, I bring them on travel trips and use them as much as I can! I will be sharing a Friday favorite product hopefully every week now. I go through so many new products all the time and I swear I love something new each week! I also have tried a few products and dislike them so I will be sure to share those as well. Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I am preparing for a huge trip next weekend and cant wait to share more!
This is my absolute favorite liner at the moment. It has a felt tip flexible applicator that makes winged liner very easy to apply! I have tried so many liquid liners and they always are so messy and hard to use, this one makes me want to wear a cat-wing everyday!
2. Huda Beauty “Samantha” lashes- I love all Huda Beauty lashes, but these have got to be my favorite lashes of all. “Samantha’s” are pre-stacked wispy & thick lashes. I love the way they open up my eyes and are sexy with any look! I have worn these literally everyday since I set eyes on them :) | Be sure to check out Huda’s page for lots of amazing product reviews and tips. She is amazing!
3. Lorac Pro 2 - I have the Lorac pro 1 and loved it so I had to buy the #2. The Lorac #2 has softer colors. I especially like the peach and nude tones in this palette. Most days I wear “Buff” all over eyelid and “Nectar” in the crease, with the AOM liner. I feel this is an essential palette for all makeup artists because it has 8 shimmer neutral shadows and 8 matte neutral.
4. Japonesque Liquid Light- This golden illuminizer is beautiful when added to the skin before foundation. It adds a gorgeous bronzed glow to the skin and can be added to the foundation for a “dewy” look! There are three different shades of these!
5. “Motives 10 years younger” makeup setting spray- I love to finish each look I create on clients with a spritz of this setting spray. I feel like setting sprays are important to use after you are done applying your products because it prevents your makeup from smudging or setting into fine lines. This allows my face to look vibrant and fresh all day long!
6. Cle De Peau Beaute Concealer- This moisturizing concealer is amazing. It is full coverage so it is perfect for those with dark circles under the eyes. I especially love it to cover any blemishes. I have so many concealers and this is the only one that doesn’t crease. It is a more pricey concealer but 100% worth it!
7. Frankie Rose “Starburst” blush - This is my favorite peach blush. It has flecks of gold shimmer so it is a beautiful blush and highlighter in one. I would compare this to a more subtle NARS “Orgasm”.
8. MAC “Painterly” Paint Pot - I apply this pink/nude paint pot to the eyes before every eyeshadow application. It is my favorite one from MAC. It gives a good base to the eyes and allows the shadows to stick well and last a lot longer on the eyes!
9. Glazed Lip Paint in “Elude” by LA Girl – This glaze has the look of a lipstick but the consistency of a lipgloss. It lasts on the lips a very long
10. Luxie Lush Stippling Brush- This is my favorite brush for apply blushes and cream blushes. Stippling brushes allow me to control the amount of blush that goes on the cheeks. I am not a huge blush fan so when I do wear it this is the tool I use.
