PMD Holiday Giveaway

Hello Dolls!

Today I am sharing with you my review on the amazing PMD {Personal Microderm}! This device has become my skins new best friend for the past month. I am all about keeping the integrity of your skin pure and this little tool has really helped do exactly that. Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive form of exfoliation, it removes dead skin cells and resurfaces the Stratum Corneum of the epidermis, also known as the outer most layers of the skin. This area of the skin is affected most by wrinkles, acne, unevenness, discoloration, and sun damage. This device safely breaks apart these imperfections and allows the skin to heal with brand new healthy skin! After using the PMD once a week for three weeks I have seen a dramatic difference with the texture of my skin. Since I am always wearing face paint AKA makeup, my pores are ALWAYS clogged. So this has made my makeup application much more smooth and flawless!! I recommend this to women and men of all ages that have skin {haha}! It will change yours like it has changed mine!

For the holidays, PMD and I are offering 10 FREE PMD systems to 10 lucky followers!!! Love all of you and wanted to give the gift of great skin to you darlings!!
Good luck and learn how to enter our giveaway below!

XOXO

‘Tis The Season For Red…

Good Morning Sweets!

‘Tis the season to shine! Its time to dust off your sparkly dresses and glam up your beauty routine with hints of red! To help get you in the spirit, today I am sharing with you a holiday bridal look that I created on the gorgeous, Kendyl Bell. She wanted a very glamorous Winter look, so of course we had to do some bright ombre red lips! I used two of my favorite products to create this look, House of Lashes in “Iconic” & Lime Crime Velvetine lip stain! I wanted to do a review on these two because they give the perfect finishing touches to this seasonal makeup!

Enjoy…

IMG_8914

Lime Crime Velvetine in “Red Velvet” - This velvet to matte lip creme is gorgeous for photos and every day wear. Spice up your Xmas by wearing this paired with golden eyes or a sophisticated wing! I always suggest these for clients who are taking engagement photos or wedding day because they stay on even through the kissing! Line your lips completely with a darker toned lip liner {2 shades darker than the red to create the “Ombre” look} then fill in the center of the lips with the matte creme!

IMG_8918Lashes: House of Lashes in “Iconic” – These spikey fluffy lashes are so perfect for opening up the eyes and creating a really dramatic look to the eyes! The band on these lashes is a little thicker than normal to allow all the hairs to be supported, so if you have sensitive eyes I would suggest trying a lash a little bit thinner. For those who don’t mind the band these lashes will look great on you! I love applying them to round eyes because they really open them up even more! They are also reusable up to 5 times when you take good care of them! House of Lashes always supplies high quality lashes!

Fabulous In Frames

I have so many clients that ask me tips for wearing makeup with specs. The struggle of loosing your eyes or face behind glasses can be real, you want to focus on making your features pop no matter what is on your face! Glasses are the next best accessory and knowing how to wear them right with glam will change everything. So don’t hide behind the glass any longer, feel fabulous in your frames with these easy tricks and tips! Four eyes never looked so good!

Glasses: Prada PR 14QV Dark Brown

Focus on the eyes…

Focusing on the eyes and lash line is the most important part when it comes to making the eyes pop. Apply a vigorous amount of mascara to the top and bottom lashes. A lot of glasses-wearers tend to get warm because glasses trap some of the body heat that usually escapes, so the waterproof formulas are a must. If you are comfortable with wearing false lashes then I would suggest wearing individual lashes to the top, or a strip lash. Lashes are tricky because you do not want them to touch the glass when you open your eyes, but you won’t have to wear as much mascara so you will avoid any smudging.

A few lashes perfect length for glasses:
- Huda Beauty “Giselle”
- Blinking Beaute No 04 {worn here}
- Katy Perry Eyelure “Oh Honey”

Mascara:
-Eyeko “Eye Do” {worn here}
-
Maybelline “Collosul”
-
Loreal Paris Million

Be Bold with your frames not eyes…

When it comes to wearing glasses you must be careful with the amount of shadow you wear on your eyes. I suggest sticking to a more bold lash and liner than wearing a lot of eyeshadow. Especially when it comes to shimmer, the glass may reflect the shadow strangely. I prefer simple neutral tones when it comes to shadows, as well as sticking with matte tones! You already have so much going on with your eyes when you are wearing glasses, see my favorite eyeliners below!

Liquid liner: Stick to the liquid pen liners, these are the easiest tools you can use to create a perfect cat wing. For a more dramatic eye create a thicker cat wing. If you are not a fan of the drama, a thin line will do as well. We also want to apply white liner always to the waterline, this will make your eyes appear bigger behind the frames! See my favorite below!
** Quick tip, always line under the lash line with a black or brown liner when you apply white eyeliner, it makes the eyes look much bigger!

Pen liner: Eyeko “Eye Do” pen liner
White Eyeliner: Too Faced Bulletproof White

Keep it Matte…

Since glasses rest lightly on your nose and the sides of the face, foundation/concealer can be a tricky thing for four-eyed beauties. Keep the face matte and powdered well around your eye/nose area especially. My favorite translucent powder keeps my face staying all day long even though sunglasses and regular glasses. I touch up probably twice each day, especially with this powder, nothing moves for hours!

Powder: Japonesque Velvet Touch Finishing Powder - Use the puff sponge and press this powder all over the areas that your glasses hit your face, you will see a huge difference on how long your foundation and under eye makeup lasts! {worn here}

Brow game strong…

Focus on defining your brows really well. I like to use a brow pencil from Anastasia BH, the Brow Wiz really helps to define the top of the arch, which is really the only part of the brows you will see depending on the glasses you are wearing. Be sure to not forget this step, bad brows can be seen behind glasses still!

Product Review: Tom Ford Stick Foundation

 Tom Ford can never go wrong. I fell in love with this stick foundation because of its extremely smooth texture. I am a fan of the more “full coverage” look, some may frown upon this but I don’t mind. This is what I prefer and love to get that flawless-face. If you are also a FC gal, then you will like this foundation as well. I had my eye on this for a while and finally bought it while in Saks in SF. I love the packaging and how easy it is to travel with. I now mostly keep it in my purse for quick easy touch ups on the go, since it is a stick-foundation its super easy to apply, where as other foundations require a brush or sponge. See a closer look below!

IMG_6450 IMG_6453

I chose the color Sable 06 because it was the perfect yellow/olive tone. I like to apply streaks on my face in the according areas: Forehead, cheeks, chin and nose. Leave under the eyes bare for concealer- OR if you want to use this product as a concealer you totally can!! Feel free to use your fingertips to rub in or any sponge to lightly blend. This stick is more creamy so I wouldn’t suggest it for overly oily skin, it is rich in hydrants. In this look below I am wearing 05 blending in with a flat foundation brush from Bobbi Brown. Pick up your stick today!

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Review

Hello beauties!

I have recently been love the new TF Perfecting Foundation! Not only is it top of the line in quality but it is perfectly gorgeous when applied to the skin. As a foundation lover I look for three key things when trying out new brands, first- texture , second- how long it holds to the skin , and last- how it photographs. See my full review on this gorgeous Tom Ford creation below! XOX

image

Traceless Perfecting Foundation is perfect for the following skin types: Normal / Combo / Dry

- if you have oily skin you can still wear this but you will just need to touch up more often because this is a luminous finish to the skin.

How long does it last on skin: truthfully it stayed on for about 8 hours, I have had other foundations stay on longer but with this formula I felt like I needed to touch up once and then I was good for the rest of the night. I like to use a translucent powder over top of this because I felt the foundation was already pigmented enough!

Photograph well? Yes indeed! I did not retouch any part of my skin in the photo above And felt like my skin looked flawless and pores looked small and smooth. I would definitely recommend this for those who are taking photos or getting married.

Price range: 70-80$ yes it I higher price foundation but it is also one of the highest quality products I own and is made with very nice ingredients.

Tools to apply: I love to use the Beauty Blender to apply this foundation. I feel like it gives the best application and finish and leaves the skin looking covered but still breathable!

You can buy this online or at your closest Neiman Marcus :)
