Contour Transformation: New Zealand Bride

I was so excited to do makeup on this beautiful blonde bride of mine, as well as honored that she traveled all the way from New Zealand to Vegas and booked me. I love when my brides find me on Pinterest from across the world and book with me. I loved doing this transformation, my style is definitely on the more glamorized side of makeup. I am a fan of the full contour and false lashes look. Its all about how you apply it though! See how I created this makeup below! XOXO

For all those who were interested in the breakdown of this makeup look, I am finally sharing it! When it comes to glam bridal makeup, the blending is the most important part. For full coverage looks, the mistake many artists do is not using the right tools to apply the foundation and powders. You need a Beauty Blender, high quality brushes, and HD cremes to create a flawless face. Airbrush makeup is just the icing on top when it comes to creating that “smooth complexion”. See all the products I used below, and for those interested in my advanced Makeup Artist lessons, email me at

Face Products:
Primer: Clarins Instant Smooth Pore Filler – apply all over skin to fill in lines and pores
Concealer: Eve Pearl “Salmon” concealer to highlight and brighten under the eyes and hide any wrinkles
HD Creme/Contour: Anastasia Cream Contour Kit in Light – apply “Banana” to highlight & “Cream” to contour

Airbrush Foundation: Temptu S/B #7 & #6 mixed {Airbrush classes available}
Powder: Frankie Rose “Olive” powder Apply all over the face to set the airbrush foundation.
Under eye powder: Ben Nye “White” powder to set under the eyes – This is a super important product for ALL makeup artists, I use this to “Bake” or as most call it “Set” the under eyes. Apply this before applying any eyeshadow to avoid fall-out.
Blush: theBalm “Frat Boy” – Apply this peach matte blush to the apples of the cheeks.
Bronzer: MAC Trace Gold – Used to contour the nose and narrow the bridge and tip. To learn my technique attend on of my classes.
Highlight: Dose of Colors “Pearl Dust” -a pink/pearl glow highlight – Apply to inner eyes, nose, cheekbones, cupids bow!

Shadow: Tarte TARTLETTE palette – all neutral brown shades
Liner: Motives Luxe liner pen-  for top lash line /  NYX Mechanical pencil in black for waterline

Lashes: Huda Beauty “Coco Jo” – multi length fluttery lashes
Brows: Anastasia Brow Wiz “Soft Brown” to shape brows perfectly
Setting Spray: Japonesque Setting Spray – My absolute favorite setting spray at the moment, it takes away any oils and sets the makeup perfectly so it lasts all day long!

Lipstick: Dose of Colors in “Coy” a very peach lipstick shade that is beautiful for any bride!
Lipgloss: Buxom “Boo-ya” lip gloss – full bodied plumping gloss!

High Fashion/Editorial Glam Shoot: Part 1

Happy weekend my loves!

Today I am sharing with you a very dramatic & glamorous look I created for a fashion shoot  a few weeks ago! These are my favorite looks to create because they allow me to be very artistic with makeup. I posted the fun before and after photo HERE , I always like to show the difference that contouring can make! Obviously Marina needs no makeup to look gorgeous, but I am so glad she was the model and I got to work on her perfect face! I went for a thick winged liner, golden shimmer and deep bordeaux lips. I would suggest this makeup style for mostly party or photo shoots, probably not an everyday style 😉 I will post the face and lips details soon!

Get the eyes…

  • Eyeshadow primer: MAC Painterly applied all over the eyelid
  • Eyeshadows: Lorac Pro Palette-Apply “Sable” all over eyelid | Apply “Espresso” in the outer corner with a flat shadow brush | Apply “Gold” to the center of the eye for a pop of shimmer | Apply “Black” to the outer corner with a blending brush.
  • Inner corner: Urban Decay “Polyester bride” – a shimmering white shadow perfect for highlighting the inner corners.
  • Eyeliner: Girlactik precise pen liner  – Line the top lash line thick with this amazing pen liner- this liner makes creating a “wing” so easy! If you have a hard time getting a super straight line this will help you so much!
  • Lashes: House of lashes in “Starlet” – These are pretty dramatic lashes but they are so beautiful on- they make the eyes appear super large!

Hello my loves!

Today I am sharing with you a fun new product that I have been trying out, Desio eye contacts! These eye contacts are the highest quality from Europe and am in love with them! I recently have been obsessed with the color “Icy Blue” and love the way it can change my look instantly! I kept my eye makeup minimal for todays look and only used two eyeshadows to show you how to get a super easy look for blue eyes! XOX

Location: Alice Lane Home

Amazing Photography: Jordyn Willey

Desio Eyes: “Icy Blue” – I am obsessed with these eye contacts! I have always wanted blue eyes but was born with brown eyes- don’t get me wrong, brown eyes are gorgeous…but I am so intrigued by lighter eyes! So these contacts are great to change up your look instantly! These are also so comfortable and look piercing on! They are easy to apply to the eyes and do not hurt at all! I love the Icy blue for a fun gray/blue pop to the eyes!

Eye products used:

This is such a beautiful eye look- I love it because it is such a quick and easy makeup look! It really only requires two shadows: a white and a black- super classic! These colors are perfect to make the blue eyes pop!

Blue Eyed Beauty & Vintage Waves

Hello Dolls!
Today I have this gorgeous look to share with you all! I rarely ever do hair for clients, but I love doing down/curled styling, so when Jennifer asked me for a vintage – old hollywood look, I was totally in! This girl couldn’t be any prettier, when I opened the door I was taken back by how gorgeous she was. I went for a light champagne/pink & bronzed smokey eye with glamorous lashes and a rose pink lip! This accentuated her natural features beautifully and I was so happy with how it came out! I used the Naked 3 palette for this look because it has amazing pink shadows, perfect for blue eyes! Hope you all enjoy!

Hair products:

  • Remington Keratin 1 inch wand was used to achieve these vintage waves!
  • Moroccan oil hair spary was used to set the waves

Chromatic Golds

I love a bold color that really stands out on the face, chromatic gold is one of them. Especially for those with deep blue eyes like Cara. This beauty got married last week and I gave her this beautiful makeup look for the very special event. There are many different ways to do your bridal makeup, if you are a bride that is wanting to do your own, I would suggest trying this tutorial. It is super easy and requires very little experience and little product. It didn’t take much to make this stunning bride beautiful anyway! Keep reading to learn more…

…Best cheekbones ever?!

Get the look…

Eyeshadow base: OCC Creme Color Concentrate “Icarus” Apply this cream shadow to the eyes to allow the main gold shadow to stick and shine better. I like to work with cream shadows as a base for when I want a color to really pop. This is a true golden color.
Gold shadow: Lancome Color Design “Karat” It’s all in the name, this shimmering gold shadow gives the most beautiful chromatic effect when applied over the shadow cream. You can apply with a brush or just tap this on over the cream shadow.
Crease blend: MAC “Cork” Any warm light brown matte shadow will do in the crease, I like this color because it is very light and barely shows, so the real show stopper is the gold.
Eyeliner: Kat Von D Tattoo liner Apply a thin to thick winged liner to the top lash line, extend out as far as desired. I like to blend any black shadow over this to create a smooth and blended line, instead of a sharp structured one.
Lower liner: Loreal Smoldering black in waterline and blended under lashes with a smudge brush.
Lashes: lash extensions – Cara had thick individual lash extensions applied so that they would last on her honeymoon and she wouldn’t have to apply much makeup. These are a great alternative for those who are not a fan of eye makeup. They are semi- permanent and last two weeks before a  fill is needed. Minkys
Brow shaping: Brow wiz Brunette / Brow Gel Brunette / Anastasia Concealer I shaped her brows into a very structure shape using the brow wiz pencil, then going over them with the brow gel and lastly shaping them with the concealer on all sides. It is very important to have groomed brows as a bride.

Airbrush/ Kett M7– One super light layer.
Cream contour: Ben Nye Palette { I used the technique where I apply lines of dark foundation to the contouring areas and blend in with a blender sponge. } This adds that bronze look to the skin as well.
Powder: MAC “Medium Plus” and Anastasia “Banana” powder under eyes. I used a dry beauty blender to tap onto skin.
Blush: Milani “Bellisimmo Bronze” – A beautiful copper/peach bronzing blush. Great for those who are not big blush fans but want a tint of color to the cheeks.
Highlight: Anastasia “Sand” glow added to cheekbones, nose, upper lip, brow bone, inner eyes.

Lipliner: Rimmel liner filled in the lips.
Lipgloss: NYX “Fortune Cookie” Buttergloss – the most delicious gloss alive. This is a nude/tan.

Blue Eyed Beauty

This past weekend in California, this beauty got married and I glammed her up with some smoked out blacks, browns and creams to accentuate her ocean blue eyes. I am so envious when I see girls with naturally dark hair and light colored eyes, it is the most stunning combination of features to me. I will just have to stick to colored contacts though because I was not blessed with baby blues or greens. If you are getting married and doing your own makeup look, this is a really easy and sexy look to achieve. Most girls want the most minimal amount of makeup on their special day, but there are some who want a little more glam {which is my style for sure}, so if that is what you are going for, keep reading!
Get the eyes…
Blue eyes stand out especially when you use a light shade in the inner corner and a dark shade towards the outer corners. There are many colors that make blue eyes pop, brown, gold, gray, black, plums, the list goes on. This look is great on blue eyes, but can be worn on all colors as well!
The great thing about these eyes is that you really only need three colors:
a soft brown, shimmer tan, and a dark blackish/brown
Any brand of shadow will really do but I used all Inglot shadows for this look. Inglot is a line based out of Las Vegas, their shadows are highly pigmented and very affordable. A new favorite for sure.
Step 1: Apply a shimmer tan shadow all over the eyelid with a shadow brush. Apply it also to the inner tear ducts of the eyes and under the brow bone for a highlight.
Step 2: With any blending brush, apply a soft brown shadow directly into the crease in a windshield wiper motion. This will be used as your transition or blending color for the dark brown shadow.
Step 3. Apply a cat winged gel eyeliner to the eyes that gradually goes from thin to thicker at the outer ends. I like to use a gel liner because I can control it better than liquid liners.
Step 4: Apply a dark brown/black over the outer winged liner and up towards the crease with a tapered blending brush. What we are trying to do is smoke out the wing so that it looks blended, this look is meant to be smokey and not defined. Bring the dark brown into the crease and blend with the soft brown, do this with a blending brush to add softness to the crease.
Step 5: How do you get such sharp angles on the outer corner? To get this super cut look, you will need a lip brush and some concealer. Apply a small amount of concealer to your flat lip brush and paint a straight line starting underneath the cat winged liner and up towards the end of your eyebrow. This will clean up under the shadow and make it look “perfected”.
Step 6: Pop on some false lashes or mascara and your eyes are complete. No bottom liner is used in this look, you can apply a little of the tan shimmer shadow to brighten under the eyes.
Products I used…
Shimmer tan shade: Inglot #395
Soft brown shade: Inglot #342
Dark brown/black shade: Inglot #500
{This shade is darker in person}
False Eyelashes: House Of Lashes: Tigress
Concealer {shadow clean up}: Coastal Scents palette
Brushes I used…
Concealer: MUFE Concealer palette No.1 Apply concealer under the eyes with a damp beauty blender after you have done your eyeshadow makeup. I do my face after because I can perfectly clean up any fall of shadows.
Foundation: Airbrush {Glamaire}– Apply your foundation to the skin wether it be airbrush or traditional foundation.
Powder: Ben Nye Camel powder~ Apply this setting powder all over the face to set the foundation.
Bronze/Contour: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer~ Apply this to the hollows of the cheekbones with a taped contour brush, apply to the forehead as well. Apply to the sides of the nose with a small shadow brush to define the nose. Also, do not forget the neck.
Blush: Mary Kay -Pink Petals~ Apply lightly to the apples of the cheeks.
Highlight: The Balm~ Mary-Lou Manizer~ Apply this shimmering pearl highlight to the temples and down to the apples of the cheeks, down the nose, and cupids bow.
Lipstick: Nars~ Dolce Vita~ This is a super natural pink lip color, great for girls who don’t want a bold lip but something very soft and sweet. I applied this with a lip brush so that the color goes on lighter, I also added a clear gloss over it for a little shine.
Setting Spray: Skindinavia bridal spray~ Every bride needs to set her makeup so it lasts her throughout her entire wedding night. This is the spray that you need, it will seal your makeup like glue to your face so that nothing shifts around while you are dancing or kissing your groom.

I hope you all enjoyed this look of one of my California brides this weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
