Feeling Flawless: Traditional Bride Makeup

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing with you the gorgeous bridal shots from one of my best friends weddings this past weekend! I was lucky enough to doll her up for all her events and photos! We did a very chic cat-eye look for her bridals, a smokey eye for her boudoirs {HERE}, and a sultry silver & black look for her wedding day. Working on this girls face is a piece of cake, she has flawless brows and beautiful skin. She was one of the first brides in a while where I didn’t use airbrush, we used Frankie Rose and Tom Ford foundation mixed for each look. To get her super flawless skin I used my nifty Beauty Blender- If you don’t have yourself one of these eggs, I would suggest to get up right night and pick one up! You wont regret it!

To One Year Wiser…

Happy Friday from CA!

Well I just got to San Diego and will be out here working for the next week and I couldn’t be more excited to see my family and friends for my birthday today! The weather is gorgeous and the beach is calling my name! I am so lucky to call California home 🙂 Today I wanted to share a quick preview of a fun & whimsical shoot I did with the amazing Andra for my b-day! She had a fun idea of having balloons and being out in a gorgeous field, and I couldn’t resist! I was so in awe with how the photos turned out, she really is the most phenomenal photographer in Utah and I cannot wait to use her again! I used all of my favorite makeup products to create this light makeup look, including: Huda Beauty, Frankie Rose, Dior, Gerard Cosmetics, and Too Faced to name a few! I will do a full tutorial on this look soon, but for now I’m off to the sand!

Love you all <3

Bronzed Eyes & Bubblegum Lips

Happy Monday!

Today I have a bronzed eyeshadow and bubblegum lips makeup tutorial for y’all! I had a beauty event this weekend and this is the look I created for it! I am wearing a lot of new products, including LA Girl Cosmetics and Artist of Makeup Cosmetics {AOM} ! These are both super nice quality lines and I am so thrilled to have them as a part of my collection! I will be doing more product reviews for you all so that you will know the best makeup to buy! Have a great day and I hope you enjoy this post!

Foundation: “Earth Yellow” Camo Cosmetics with a Luxie Lush stippling brush

Concealer: LA Girl in “Classic Ivory”- these are wonderful creaseless concealers that work perfect for hiding dark circles or brightening up the under eyes! {review to come}

Blush: AOM Cosmetics “Dainty Doll”– this is a gorgeous pearl pink with flecks of highlight. I would suggest this for all skin types. Super high quality & pigmented.

Highlighter: AOM Cosmetics in “Candlelight” – my new favorite highlighter on the planet – this is a beautiful pearl/white highlight that adds the perfect amount of glow to the skin. I would compare it to MAC Soft and Gentle and Becca Opal mixed!

Contour: AOM Cosmetics contour stick {review to come}

Powder: Dior setting powder

photo 2 copy

Eyeshadows: AOM HD shadows-

  1. Bare Canvas- apply all over the lid to create a nude base
  2. Espresso- apply Espresso to the inner corner of the eye and the outer corner of the eye creating a “Smokey” effect on each corner.
  3. Molton- Apply this with a wet brush to the center of the lid for a pop of bronzed shimmer.
  4. Glow- pop this shadow on top of Molton to create that beige-bronze color

.Liner on bottom: Line the eyes with white liner- LA Girl in “White”

Brown shadow on bottom: add the “Espresso” with an angled brush along the bottom lash line and blend with a Q-tip.

Lashes: Huda Beauty in the NEW “Samantha” pre-stacked lashes applied with Huda Beauty lash glue! I have to rant about these a bit… I am absolutely in LOVE with them to say the least. I have been stacking lashes {applying two} to my eyes for so long because I love the look of overly thick, long, black lashes. Finally I have found a pair that is natural but still thick and makes my eyes look big and beautiful! Thank you Huda for making such a beautiful style of lashes, they really are the most comfortable, high quality and stunning lashes.

As you all know, I wear Huda lashes majority of the time and use them on most of my clients- they are currently being sold only in Dubai but will be shipping world wide soon, and once they are you must all try them! I will be doing a fun giveaway soon with these lashes, so please check back!

Lips: LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint in “Babydoll” – These are beautiful lip glosses that come out like thick creamy lipstick. I love the texture of them and they last super long. This color lasted me three hours through my beauty event! {review to come}

High Fashion/Editorial Glam Shoot: Part 1

Happy weekend my loves!

Today I am sharing with you a very dramatic & glamorous look I created for a fashion shoot  a few weeks ago! These are my favorite looks to create because they allow me to be very artistic with makeup. I posted the fun before and after photo HERE , I always like to show the difference that contouring can make! Obviously Marina needs no makeup to look gorgeous, but I am so glad she was the model and I got to work on her perfect face! I went for a thick winged liner, golden shimmer and deep bordeaux lips. I would suggest this makeup style for mostly party or photo shoots, probably not an everyday style 😉 I will post the face and lips details soon!

Get the eyes…

  • Eyeshadow primer: MAC Painterly applied all over the eyelid
  • Eyeshadows: Lorac Pro Palette-Apply “Sable” all over eyelid | Apply “Espresso” in the outer corner with a flat shadow brush | Apply “Gold” to the center of the eye for a pop of shimmer | Apply “Black” to the outer corner with a blending brush.
  • Inner corner: Urban Decay “Polyester bride” – a shimmering white shadow perfect for highlighting the inner corners.
  • Eyeliner: Girlactik precise pen liner  – Line the top lash line thick with this amazing pen liner- this liner makes creating a “wing” so easy! If you have a hard time getting a super straight line this will help you so much!
  • Lashes: House of lashes in “Starlet” – These are pretty dramatic lashes but they are so beautiful on- they make the eyes appear super large!
  • White liner: Rimmel “white” – line the inner waterline with this white khol to create a bright eyed look.
  • Mascara: Micaroon Mascara – coat the top lashes so that they naturally blend with your real ones.
  • Brows: ABH Brunette duo powder
  • Brushes: Hair and Makeup Addiction shadow brushes

Face and lip details will be posted soon!!

Shimmering & Glowing Beauty: Shaliece Marie

Hello my loves!!!

Happy hump day! Today I am so excited to share with you all this glowing look I created on the stunning international model, Shaliece Marie. I could not be more happy with how this makeup turned out, but it makes my job SO easy when my client is drop deal gorgeous. Shaliece had all the right features, thick brows, big eyes, perfect skin and naturally pouty lips. We went for a very classic look, focusing mostly on the eyes and keeping the skin very clean and dewy. This is a look that I would do for any client, but this especially looks good in photos. To learn more about how to achieve this chic look, keep reading!

Non-Surgical Nose Job & Face Sculpting Tricks

Hello Hunnies!

Today I have a fun tutorial on how I like to contour my features! Makeup can really do wonders, I treat it as an art when it comes to contouring. You can accentuate and hide your facial features by just using a few products! My most commonly asked question is how I contour my nose. I have never had any surgery done to my face, its all contour! So if you want to learn how to non-surgically sculpt your face keep reading!! XOX

  1. Have your foundation already on your face before you start contouring with your creams.
  2. Draw  out your lines of where you want to define the face using a small concealer brush and the dark contour cream. I like the Dermablend Concealer Brush and I used Illamasque “Hollow” Cream Color Pigment.
  3. Draw small “Dash” lines along the forehead/hairline | Draw two line from your ear down to the middle of your cheekbone | For the nose draw two lines on each sides of the nose and a small line above the tip of the nose |
  4. Next step is blending- with a damp Beauty Blender “press and roll” your blender over the contour creams to blend it into the face.
  5. Once you are totally blended now you need to highlight. I used a really light concealer under the eyes, down the nose and on the tip of the nose- Estee Lauder in “Light” was used here but feel free to use any really light concealer!
  6. Blend this out with your clean Beauty Blender again and just tap this into the skin- we are highlighting and concealer at same time.
  7. Set all of this with your favorite powder {Ben Nye Banana} and your complete! Super easy and better than going under the knife. I will do a video on this soon because it will be much easier to show you all, until then please email me with any questions: Jadembaird@gmail.com

Here is the final outcome of what it will look like once you put your setting powder on:

Anastasia Contour Kit & Perfect Brow Pencil

Happy Wednesday!
Anastasia Beverly Hills carries some of the most amazing products, especially her newest one from her pro line! The Contour Kit! Fully equipped with every color needed for highlighting and contouring for all skin tones. The pigmentation is lovely and stays on all day long,  the packaging is thin and organized, and the quality of the powders are exceptional. I thought this would be the perfect time to show you how to contour with it on one of the most gorgeous girls I know! Learn more about this soft everyday makeup look below!

Meet Briana! She is a total babe and has the most adorable Australian accent. I have admired her beauty from afar for some time now and was so excited that I got to do this makeup on her stunning face. She is perfection! See some of her makeup You Tube videos HERE!

  1. Apply Frankie Rose Matte foundation with the Bdellium Tools #305 brush. I used the color Olive on her skin tone. This foundation gives a slightly dewy finish if not set with powder.
  2. Apply MAC Prolongwear concealer under the eyes and blend in with the MAC #195 concealer brush. I used NC20. Apply a line down the center of the nose and lightly blend in.
  3. With your MAC #224 brush apply #1 from the Anastasia Contour Kit powder under the eyes, down the center of the nose, chin and jawline. With the MAC #158 powder brush, apply #2 from the contour kit to the forehead, and define the cheekbones. Contour the sides of the nose with the #224 and the #2 powder by blending in lines down the center and tip of nose.
  4. Apply Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blush in the color: Tipsy to the apples of the cheeks and upwards.
  5. Highlight the cheekbones, center of nose, and cupids bow with the #3 highlighter from the contour kit!
This kit is so perfect for contouring and highlighting. it comes in a compact palette, that is easy to travel with. The powders are silky smooth and easy to blend on the skin, versatile for all skin tones. I will be showing tutorials on all skin tones using this kit! It comes with a pamphlet featuring step by step instructions by DressYourFace! Please ask any questions below about it and I will answer!

1. Apply NYX white to the brow bone for highlight.
2. Apply the Vanilla pigment to the entire lid.
3. Contour the crease with Taupe Notch with your blending brush.
4. Apply the gel liner to the top lid with an angled brush, apply to the bottom lash line too.
4. Apply Benefit High Brow to the inner waterline to highlight the eyes.
5. Apply one pair of lashes if that is all you desire, if you want them to look a little more pieced and wispy I apply a second one after the application with the House of lashes glue!
6. Coat top and bottom lashes with They’re Real.
** This is the best pencil to shape the brows, especially those that are sparse! I do short strokes to create fake hairs so that they look more real. Fill the rest in with the same pencil. Brush up the brows with the tinted brow gel! Perfect brows!
7. Lastly apply this beautiful bright coral lipstick from MAC, this is one of my new colors and I love how it looks! Top that off with a dollop of clear Lip Tar to add some shine!
Hope you enjoyed this post! I will be doing another tutorial later on this week using some of the same Anastasia products, so come back to see!
Lots of love to you all!

Cream Contour Tutorial

Contouring is one of the best kept secrets thats out of the box! It is my favorite trick to use when doing makeup for events.  I love to enhance features of the face by contouring, but it can be hard finding the best products to use. Today I have compiled a list of my favorite contouring cosmetics to help you achieve that
perfectly chiseled bone structure. There are many different ways to contour, the look I am demonstrating today will be for a more intense contour. I will do a more subtle and natural everyday contour in my second post!
Have a fabulous Friday…

Step 3: Apply your dark colored cream.concealer. Apply to the following areas: Entire jaw line, hollows of cheeks, sides of nose, entire hair line and temples.

Step 4: With a damp beauty blender or sponge, stipple or press the sponge onto the skin in a quick but light motion. Be sure to blend the light color first and work your way outwards towards the dark. Always blend into hairline and clean up after.
