Pore Fillers: Hiding Acne & Scars

Hello Babes!

I always get asked the best products for hiding pores, filling in lines, & smoothing out pimples and scars! Well you are in luck because I have compiled some of my favorite products below for just this! Pores are inevitable, you cannot get rid of them, but you can minimize and hide them with the right technique. Often people are afraid of makeup when they have acneic or scarred skin because it can make it look “CAKEY” if not applied the correct way. Layering more and more product on will only leave you looking overly frosted. Primer and Pore Fillers will be your best friend if you struggle with texturized skin. Keep reading to learn my favorites at the moment…

Pore Fillers / Line Fillers / Scar Fillers:

Fillers are usually clear/ or flesh tone and are best when applied with the fingers directly to the skin. Focus on the T-zone if your pores are large in these areas. For scars/wrinkles you can apply these with fingers to the area as well. Apply lightly so that you are not soaking up a lot of the product into your hands. Let dry and foundation can be applied over with a Beauty Blender- this is the best tool for hiding texture.

3. Clarins Skin Smooth Perfect – This one is by far my favorite when it comes to fillers. It is thick and smooth, leaves the skin feeling poreless basically!! I use this on usually every single client for that perfect skin finish before foundation $28

Freckle Face: Contour Phase 1

Hello Babes!!!

Today I am sharing with you the first of my contouring with freckles. When it comes to contouring with freckles, you have two options. Cover them completely or learn how to blend with the freckles. In this look, since it was for a high end photo shoot, we did a full cover and contour. If you are interested in learning how to contour for your gorgeous freckle face, and not have to cover your sun kisses then stay tuned, I will be teaching a YouTube video just for this soon!

Indian Beauty: Double Winged Liner

Hello loves!

Today I have this gorgeous dramatic Indian bridal look to share with you all! Traditional Indian wedding makeup has got to be one of my favorite looks to create! They usually have a very bold eye with either glitters or heavy liner. In this case, my gorgeous bride, Jasmine {ya she looks like the Disney princess too}, requested a copper smokey eye with double winged liner. To create this very heavy wined-liner look, a steady hand is required, but a heavy hand as well so that you can apply a bold amount! Not only is this look stunning, but it really makes the eyes the main focus! I used some fluffy Huda Beauty lashes, of course, and bronze shadows from Estee Lauder’s new palette Bronze Goddess <3

Enjoy!

Two Toned Eyeliner & Anastasia Lip Gloss

I was recently sent the gorgeous new Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss set to try out and fell in love with the Nude set. It has six beautiful shades of neutral tone goodness! These glosses are not only gorgeously pigmented, but they smell like literal sugar. In the look below I am wearing Dainty {peach} mixed with Vintage {rose}, to create a dusty rose lip! I am also sporting a wicked liner. Winged liner is my go-to for my every day makeup. I never get sick of a slick black wing, but I like to change it up sometimes. So today I am sharing the products I use to create a bronzed two-tone wing! I am also wearing the new Huda Beauty Mink lashes in “Raquel”, a very wispy, thick and long lash!
Hope you enjoy!

Two Tone Liner: To create this playful style of winged liner, it is very simple. Draw a winged liner as thick as you desire how you  regularly would. Second, use an angled eyeliner brush, and a sparkle bronze color. Over line the beginning of the inner corner of liner to the middle of the eye with the bronzed shadow. This will create an “ombre” effect to the liner from light to dark. Apply mascara or false lashes. Complete!

Purple Vibes…

Happy Tuesday beautiful babes!

I have been obsessed lately with purple lips. I usually would NEVER wear this color, because I am stuck in my ways and love that sexy-nude-lip, BUT, this color is the exception. Most of the products used to create this look are from my favorite woman, Anastasia Beverly Hills. Her products are always super quality and gorgeous, and I think they are affordable as well. I also used a brand new foundation created by the talented MakeupbyLilit. This full coverage and lightweight foundation is great for ALL skin types, I have semi-oily skin and it holds really well on mine! See more below!

 Hello loves!
I am in love with the Chocolate Bar palettes from Too Faced! They each have a perfect combination of shimmery and matte shadows! I am wearing the Lily Lashes for this look in the style “Tehran”. These are a new style of lashes for me, they are wispy and long, and the band is super comfortable and not too thick! NYX NEW Highlight & Contour Palettes

Hello Makeup Queens!
Today I am sharing with you my review for the new NYX Highlight & Contour Palette. I finished my review for the new NYX Conceal & Contour creams that were using in this look also, HERE. I am very impressed with this refillable powder palette from NYX. They have definitely stepped up there game when it comes to face products. If you are on the market for a palette that contours as well as highlights & brightens, this one is great for you! I would compare it to the Kat Von D contouring palette that recently came out. The colors are highly pigmented and the price is super affordable {$25}! I would suggest this for makeup lovers of any level, beginners and professionals! You can purchase these now at Ulta stores or online!
I will be giving away one set on my Instagram, CLICK HERE!

Enjoy!

Colors used for this look:
+ Pearly Pale White: highlight cheekbones, nose, cupids bow
+ Yellow: Applied under eyes, along jaw, chin, forehead
+ Matte Neutral Brown: Applied to cheekbones and forehead
+ Matte Taupe: For contouring the nose

I love the texture of these velvet/matte finish powders! They are great for those with all skin types and truly look amazing on the skin! I have been using them everyday for the past two weeks on clients and I am so happy with the results in photographs as well. You can wear these powders with a Primer under, BB cream, Foundation, or by themselves! I have been using my Morphe brushes to apply them, when it comes to the face, quality brushes are very important! Below I have listed the exact colors that I use from the palette and where they are to be applied! To see how I applied the Cream Contour, click HERE.

Pearly Pale White: This color is perfect for highlighting the inner corners of the eyes, cupids bow, and nose.

Matte Nude: This is a great cheekbone highlighter that has 0 shimmer to it. Great for brightening cheeks, middle of brows and under cheekbones to enhance structure.

Matte Soft Yellow: My FAVORITE color from the palette. This yellow is absolutely amazing for under the eyes to brighten! {comparable to Ben Nye Banana Powder}.

Pearly Soft Peach: A great color for all over face to set any foundation, also great for a color corrector for darkness/circles by eyes.

Matte Soft Brown/Red: Perfect for contouring the forehead, red undertones and good for those with more olive toned skin!

Matte Neutral Brown: This is great for bronzing the entire face. A true chocolate brown.

Matte Taupe: The best color for contouring the nose. This taupe/brown is very neutral and still on the lighter side so its great for sculpting the nose!

Matte Deep Brown: Great contour for the cheekbones. Cheekbones require a darker color for contouring so that they pop a bit more than the nose and forehead.

‘Tis The Season For Red…

Good Morning Sweets!

‘Tis the season to shine! Its time to dust off your sparkly dresses and glam up your beauty routine with hints of red! To help get you in the spirit, today I am sharing with you a holiday bridal look that I created on the gorgeous, Kendyl Bell. She wanted a very glamorous Winter look, so of course we had to do some bright ombre red lips! I used two of my favorite products to create this look, House of Lashes in “Iconic” & Lime Crime Velvetine lip stain! I wanted to do a review on these two because they give the perfect finishing touches to this seasonal makeup!

Enjoy…

IMG_8914

Lime Crime Velvetine in “Red Velvet” – This velvet to matte lip creme is gorgeous for photos and every day wear. Spice up your Xmas by wearing this paired with golden eyes or a sophisticated wing! I always suggest these for clients who are taking engagement photos or wedding day because they stay on even through the kissing! Line your lips completely with a darker toned lip liner {2 shades darker than the red to create the “Ombre” look} then fill in the center of the lips with the matte creme!

de636f56b3b4a0cf8688b2cb2d26b6b3

IMG_8918Lashes: House of Lashes in “Iconic” – These spikey fluffy lashes are so perfect for opening up the eyes and creating a really dramatic look to the eyes! The band on these lashes is a little thicker than normal to allow all the hairs to be supported, so if you have sensitive eyes I would suggest trying a lash a little bit thinner. For those who don’t mind the band these lashes will look great on you! I love applying them to round eyes because they really open them up even more! They are also reusable up to 5 times when you take good care of them! House of Lashes always supplies high quality lashes!

Feeling Like Fall: Orange Eyes…

Fall is in full spin here in Utah and its just another reason for me to pull out my Autumn toned shadows! I am usually not a fan of orange or red tones on the eyes but I thought I would give them a try and I surprisingly loved how they turned out! I love to change my makeup style depending on what I wear, where I am going and what season it is. Fall usually calls for dark lips, smokey plum, burgundy, and copper eyes. Today I am showing you this brassy orange smokey eye and peach-tan lips! For any color requests, please email me at Jadembaird@gmail.com 🙂

image-8

Orange eyes… You may be hesitant at first to use this color but I promise once you blend it with browns and golds it looks amazing!
  1. Apply a primer to the eyes for a smooth base: Tarte Clean Slate Creasless
  2. Apply a bright orange shadow all over the lid and into the crease: NARS Duo in “Isolde” – apply the copper orange all over lid. Apply the shimmer gold in center of the eye on top of the orange.
  3. Smoke out the outer and inner brow bone corner of the eye with a brown: Brown Script from MAC in inner corner | Embark from MAC blended on outer crease and lid.
  4. Black liquid liner is to be used on the upper lash line. Draw it thicker in the middle of the eye to make the eyes appear “larger” and wing it out at the end.
  5. Apply black liner to the inner waterline and blend it out with the Embark shadow and then the shimmer gold from NARS over that.
  6. Lashes: Esqido in “Lashmopolitan” – love these! These flare out a lot at the end and are very long, use whatever lashes you desire!

High Fashion/Editorial Glam Shoot: Part 1

Happy weekend my loves!

Today I am sharing with you a very dramatic & glamorous look I created for a fashion shoot  a few weeks ago! These are my favorite looks to create because they allow me to be very artistic with makeup. I posted the fun before and after photo HERE , I always like to show the difference that contouring can make! Obviously Marina needs no makeup to look gorgeous, but I am so glad she was the model and I got to work on her perfect face! I went for a thick winged liner, golden shimmer and deep bordeaux lips. I would suggest this makeup style for mostly party or photo shoots, probably not an everyday style 😉 I will post the face and lips details soon!
