Feeling Like Fall: Orange Eyes…

Fall is in full spin here in Utah and its just another reason for me to pull out my Autumn toned shadows! I am usually not a fan of orange or red tones on the eyes but I thought I would give them a try and I surprisingly loved how they turned out! I love to change my makeup style depending on what I wear, where I am going and what season it is. Fall usually calls for dark lips, smokey plum, burgundy, and copper eyes. Today I am showing you this brassy orange smokey eye and peach-tan lips! For any color requests, please email me at Jadembaird@gmail.com 🙂

Orange eyes… You may be hesitant at first to use this color but I promise once you blend it with browns and golds it looks amazing!
  1. Apply a primer to the eyes for a smooth base: Tarte Clean Slate Creasless
  2. Apply a bright orange shadow all over the lid and into the crease: NARS Duo in “Isolde” – apply the copper orange all over lid. Apply the shimmer gold in center of the eye on top of the orange.
  3. Smoke out the outer and inner brow bone corner of the eye with a brown: Brown Script from MAC in inner corner | Embark from MAC blended on outer crease and lid.
  4. Black liquid liner is to be used on the upper lash line. Draw it thicker in the middle of the eye to make the eyes appear “larger” and wing it out at the end.
  5. Apply black liner to the inner waterline and blend it out with the Embark shadow and then the shimmer gold from NARS over that.
  6. Lashes: Esqido in “Lashmopolitan” – love these! These flare out a lot at the end and are very long, use whatever lashes you desire!

Winging Out…

Good Afternoon!!

Recently I have been wearing less eyeshadow and more eyeliner! You can never go wrong with a sophisticated thick winged liner! I love to pair this with a white eyeshadow and a little soft brown shadow in the crease. This is a perfect everyday look for every eye shape! Coat your lashes with some mascara or wear some amazing lashes to finish your eyes! Instant beauty in 5 minutes!

Eyeshadow: Base- MAC “Blanc Type”  – apply all over the eyelid | Crease- MAC “Soft Brown” barely apply to the crease for a brown shadow effect.

Eyeliner: Motives liquid liner in black – line the entire eye with this pocket size liquid liner, lightly wing out the ends and thicken up the wing!

This look includes only two eyeshadows, one shimmer brown, and a shimmer copper, both from MAC. Pop these colors on with a blending brush and some fun lashes and you have a perfect look for night & day! See the products I used below!

Edge Of Never Shoot: Rose Gold Eyes

This shoot has taken forever for me to post, but better late than never!
I loved being a part of this inspirational mock shoot with my talented friends Perrywinkle Photography and Camilla Photography. Perrywinkle came up with this inspiration from a previous book that she read called “Edge Of Never”. It is about two people in love on a runaway road trip. Teale was our beautiful model portraying “Camryn” and Ghent was our lovely “Andrew”. I went for a very romantic braided ponytail and smokey rose gold eyes. This shoot was meant to be very passionate to show the love between the two, and Teale and Ghent were perfect! Learn how to get this gorgeous look below!

1. With the Stila Ethereal trio, apply the lightest “champagne” color to the inner tear ducts of the eyes. Apply the “gold” color to the entire lid. Apply the middle “Deep brown” color to the outer corners in an angled/sharp shape. Blend with BB Blending Brush.
2. Apply MAC Cranberry to the center of the lid with the BB eye smudged. Go back and reapply a small amount of the “Champagne” Stila color over the Cranberry shadow. This will give a glowing “rose-gold” effect.
3. Time for eyeliner! Apply a thin to thick line starting at the inner corner and working your way outward using Guerlain liquid. Make sure you thicken and wing it upward at the end.
4. Apply your Ardell Wispy lashes with some lash glue, preferably DUO Clear glue.
5. Apply your desired amount of Trish McEvoy mascara to the falsies.
6. Apply any black liner to inner water line and smoke out with your smudge brush and the same Stila “Deep Brown”.

Saturday Celebrity: Charlize Theron

Good morning lovelies!
Hope you all had a wonderful busy week and now have time to relax! It has been non stop travel for me lately! I just returned from San Diego a couple days ago, I am lucky enough to spend a week there each month for makeup and skincare clients…as well as catch on some sunshine therapy!
Today is a quick post on how to get this super natural yet wearable look from Charlize Theron! She  is such a natural beauty that a little amount is enough for her. This look is all about staying very neutral, no pops of color here. Sport this “bare” look today!
Enjoy

Clinique “Even Better” Foundation ~ Any foundation claiming to make skin look “even better” without makeup is going to cause some amount of attention!  Clinique Even Better definitely has.  It’s brilliant blend of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide cause this foundation to be filled with sun battling benefits unlike most. This foundation is light-medium coverage so skin still shines through looking natural. You can wear it with no powder or for a more “Matte” look, set it with translucent!

MAC Pink Tea Blush ~ This is a great blush for people that don’t really like blush. It is very light dusty rose hue. Personally I am not a huge fan of a cheek full of blush, so this color is always my go-to for clients who are more on the natural side.

MAC Nylon Eyeshadow ~ This shadow was one of the first that I purchased from MAC. It has had many roles in my collection, it’s a great inner eye-duct highlighter, cheek highlighter, shimmering cream eyeshadow,  and brow bone highlighter! Basically it is great for creating a beautiful glow to many areas. In this look it is applied just to the lid and underneath the waterline for an “eye-opening” effect.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara ~  This mascara is great for women wanting to achieve a more “volumous” lash. It holds a curl really well, and has a beautiful lengthening effect. It is flake and smudge free, and also lasts up to 12+ hours. A great every day mascara!

KA’OIR Nudity Lipstick ~ If you haven’t head of “KA’OIR” lipsticks yet, you have got to try them! These super richly pigmented and creamy sticks come in all assortment of colors to choose from, purple, green, pink, you name it! “Nudity” is by far the most wearable out of the collection and is a very cool pink nude color!

Have a wonderful Saturday!
I’m off to do weddings all day, wish me luck!
