Edge Of Never Shoot: Rose Gold Eyes

This shoot has taken forever for me to post, but better late than never!
I loved being a part of this inspirational mock shoot with my talented friends Perrywinkle Photography and Camilla Photography. Perrywinkle came up with this inspiration from a previous book that she read called “Edge Of Never”. It is about two people in love on a runaway road trip. Teale was our beautiful model portraying “Camryn” and Ghent was our lovely “Andrew”. I went for a very romantic braided ponytail and smokey rose gold eyes. This shoot was meant to be very passionate to show the love between the two, and Teale and Ghent were perfect! Learn how to get this gorgeous look below!

1. With the Stila Ethereal trio, apply the lightest “champagne” color to the inner tear ducts of the eyes. Apply the “gold” color to the entire lid. Apply the middle “Deep brown” color to the outer corners in an angled/sharp shape. Blend with BB Blending Brush.
2. Apply MAC Cranberry to the center of the lid with the BB eye smudged. Go back and reapply a small amount of the “Champagne” Stila color over the Cranberry shadow. This will give a glowing “rose-gold” effect.
3. Time for eyeliner! Apply a thin to thick line starting at the inner corner and working your way outward using Guerlain liquid. Make sure you thicken and wing it upward at the end.
4. Apply your Ardell Wispy lashes with some lash glue, preferably DUO Clear glue.
5. Apply your desired amount of Trish McEvoy mascara to the falsies.
6. Apply any black liner to inner water line and smoke out with your smudge brush and the same Stila “Deep Brown”.
** Repeat Step 1 {Brighten inner corners again and darker outer corners with the darkest color.
** Clean up and unwanted “fall shadow” with concealer and a concealer brush.

Rock on…

I was so honored to doll this beautiful girl and amazing photographer up for her 80’s themed birthday bash! Her inspiration was very smokey eyes and hot pink lips. I always love when clients give me the freedom to be a little artistic with their makeovers, and she did exactly that. Anyone who knows me, knows that smokey eyes are my favorite look to do. Paired with some bronzed airbrushed skin and long cat-eye lashes to top off her look. I just love this sweet gal and was so glad she loved how her makeup turned out!
This beautiful mama of two has naturally great skin, she has never tried airbrush before and the great thing about it is that it gives you flawless, glowing skin instantly after application and photographs beautifully.

*Tips for Smokey eyes*

Use an accent color to warm up the look so its not just an “all black eye”, Gold was used in this look.
You can also try: brown, gray, taupe ect.

Always do the eyes before the face, since the shadow tends to fall and mess up the foundation.
I apply a thin amount of concealer all under the eyes only and then do the lids.
After if anything has fallen it catches onto the thin layer of concealer and is easily cleanable.

Choose some wispy cat-eye lashes and add mascara for extra drama.

Pair a fun pink color for a night on the town,
apply a nude to light pink lip if you are sporting a smokey eye in the day time.

Line the bottom lash line with black or gray liner to alter the shape of the eyes,
here it made her eyes appear more of an almond shape than round after eyeliner.
