Valentines Vixen

I got to glam the gorgeous brazillian beauty, Nadya Cox, this past week for a fun Valentines shoot for her site! We went for a bronzed/gold smokey eye, thick lashes, and a bold red lip. I used my favorite new foundation palette from Eve Pearl, for her flawless complexion. We stayed light on her contouring and bronzed her up with some yummy Chocolate Soleil bronzers from Too Faced! Learn this sexy date look below!

Blacked Out: Two Shadow Look

Sometimes I don’t have much time to do my eyes but I still want to feel and look sexy.
This is the look I go to. Two shadows, shimmers, wispy lashes, and you are done!
 Don’t forget about the sequins though! The main color that I used was black. You may be afraid to put a lot of black shadow on your lids, but don’t be, if you do it the right way it can be really flattering to your eye color. I love dark colors for all eyes, especially brown eyes because black really makes them stand out. I wore a burnt orange lip to add a little fall inspiration.
Learn how to get this easy look below!
 Happy Weekend!
Primer: Too Faced Shadow Insurance Apply primer to the entire lid.
Full lid shadow: NYX Black with a soft blending brush apply all over the entire lid in pressing motions so that the shadow will not fall.
Crease blend shadow: MAC Omega To give the shadow a nice blended “smoke” effect, blend this soft muted taupe shadow to the crease and a little up on the brow bone.
Lashes: Red Cherry WSP Apply your lashes or mascara desire to the top and bottom lashes.
Waterline: NYX White Apply this white liner to the inner bottom water line to open the eyes.
Mascara bottom/top: Benefit They’re Real
lash line: MAC gorgeous gold or any gold shimmer- Apply this shimmer gold under the bottom lashes and to the inner tear duct to brighten up the eyes.
No eyeliner used for the top!

 Foundation: YSL EClat Illuminating This foundation is medium coverage that gives a dewy finish to the skin. Great for those with normal-dry skin!

Foundation Brush: Bdellium Airbrush Kabuki 957 {<<$14 here} I love Bdellium brushes, especially this one. If you are wanting to get a smooth coverage to the skin, this brush is definitely needed. Apply a nickel size amount of YSL to the back of your hand and dip the brush in and then apply straight to skin in “buffing” motions.
Concealer: MUFE camouflage concealer #5 Apply concealer under the eyes with a concealer brush, and down the center of the nose {this is to highlight the bridge of the nose}.
Powder: Ben Nye setting powder ‘Banana’ Set all of your creams and foundations with this yellow toned setting powder on a big fluffy face brush.
Blush: Inglot 25 {soft pink} Apply to the apples of the cheek and up towards temples.
Bronzer: Contour the cheekbones, sides of nose and jawline with this bronzer.
Highlighter: Laura Mercier Loose powder star dust I applied my highlighter to a lot of places for this look: cheekbones, bridge of nose, upper lid, inner tear ducts and brow bones!

Lipstick: NYX Twist- ‘Shimmering Burnt Orange’I love this neutral toned lipstick, it is a new one that I got for the fall. I love how it has some warm orange hues in it as well, a great color for November.

Kat Von D ‘Saint’ Eyes

This has got to be one of my favorite looks that I have done from September. I was lucky enough to meet this beautiful girl by chance while in Ulta. Alexis is a manager at Ulta with a background in makeup artistry, while checking out she commented on my makeup and we connected that way, a week later I was doing her wedding makeup. She is a complete doll and has beautiful skin, a great palette for me for work with. I went for highly contrasted eyes with pops of gold, pink, taupe, brows and pearly whites. I finished off the look with a flawless airbrush face and cream contour. Get this beautiful look below!

Just a disclaimer, the skin is NOT edited in these photos, Airbrush gives smooth coverage especially on great skin to begin with! I also use all HD concealer correctors from Graftobian for flawless coverage. Zoom in to see skins texture.
This palette is one of my absolute favorite! If you do not have it, get it! I honestly like a lot of the colors more than my Naked palette as well. The colors are highly pigmented, super creamy and very blend-able. I suggest it to makeup artists that need a shimmer palette for their collection or for those for an every day look!

Edge Of Never Shoot: Rose Gold Eyes

This shoot has taken forever for me to post, but better late than never!
I loved being a part of this inspirational mock shoot with my talented friends Perrywinkle Photography and Camilla Photography. Perrywinkle came up with this inspiration from a previous book that she read called “Edge Of Never”. It is about two people in love on a runaway road trip. Teale was our beautiful model portraying “Camryn” and Ghent was our lovely “Andrew”. I went for a very romantic braided ponytail and smokey rose gold eyes. This shoot was meant to be very passionate to show the love between the two, and Teale and Ghent were perfect! Learn how to get this gorgeous look below!

Dew It: Luminous Makeup

As a makeup artist I always get asked if I spend hours in front of the mirror getting ready every day. Well the answer is no, there are days when I am really detailed and others when I am just in a rush and have to resort to doing a quick look on my eyes and face. It was my husbands birthday a few weeks ago and he loves dark smokey eyes. Well my morning was booked with brides. so I had little time that evening to get all dolled up for him. Thats when I resorted to this look! Super easy and still super sexy. Learn all about how I got this dewy complexions and quick smokey eye below!

The Boudoir Series: Candace Burch

 I recently had the chance to doll up a party of 7 girls for a fun Boudoir Bachelorette bash. The brides friends surprised her with a suite at the Hotel Monaco, personal Boudoir pictures for each girl taken by the amazing Perrywinkle Photography and sexy makeovers by me! Boudoir makeup is one of my favorite styles to do, It is usually very sexy and seductive looking, and every woman deserves to feel like a supermodel for a day! These tasteful shoots are a great gift for the groom on the wedding night or even for an anniversary! Today I will be showing Candace Burch’s makeover, how to get her look, and the beautiful boudoir shots we got of her!

Before and After

Seductive Eyes: how to…
  1. Prime the eyes with an eye primer to ensure the shadow will stay all day, a primer also allows the color to show up better on the skin~ try: elf sultry satin eye primer
  2. Apply a highlighter to the inner corners of the eyes to really brighten them up~ try: NYX pearl loose shadow , I like to spray my MAC Fix+ spray on the brush, dip into the shadow, then apply. What this does is give the shadow a sticking effect so it stays longer and it makes the color appear a brighter white. Apply this under the brows to highlight the brow bone.
  3. Apply a medium/tan shadow to the inner lid of the eye keeping all the lighter colors towards the front. try: Urban Decay: Blunt {shimmer tan}
  4. Apply Wedge by MAC to the middle/outer corners of the eye with your #224 tapered blending brush {dupe: elf blending brush $1}
  5. Line the eyes with a liquid, gel or powder liner, wing out the ends and this will add a seductive look to them. try: Laura Mercier- Tightline eyeliner-Ebony / Use an angled brush: elf $3
  6. After you have defined the lid with your winged liner, go back in with your tapered brush and smoke out the corners with a darker color. Use the top of the winged liner as a guide, do not apply shadow underneath the line, just above. try: MAC~ Print {muted black/gray}
  7. Apply the same shadow on the bottom lash line and smoke it out with a #214 short shader brush.
  8. Apply a pair of winged out cat eyelashes to complete the entire look. try: Katy Perry: Oh Honey lashes. Coat them with mascara to make them more dramatic.

Flawless Face: how to…
I used Airbrush for the foundation, bronzer, blush and highlighter, below I have tips on how to get this look without the professional kit and with traditional makeup instead.
  1. I recently purchase this TheBalm Time Balm Face Primer $30… and I love it! It helps with reducing the appearance of fine line, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. I used a dime size amount all over her face to ensure an even makeup application.
  2. With your beauty blender apply a concealer two shades lighter than your skin down the center of the nose up to middle of the brows, under the eyes, and on the chin. This will add highlight to the areas that should be kept light on the face. * Apply in pressing motion * try: MAC Studio Finish concealers- These cover imperfections beautiful and blend really well with a damp beauty blender.
  3. The tool to a flawless looking face is the tools that you are using. Be sure to use a flat Kabuki brush, Sigma has my favorite Kabuki brush, F80. Apply your choice of founation to the back of your hand, dip your kabuki into it and buff it into the skin, wait till the end to blend the highlighted areas. Once your whole face looks evenly blended, grab your Beauty Blender and tap the highlighted areas outward until they look completely blended. try: NYX HD photogenic foundation {great coverage}
  4. Set your face with a setting powder: Vichy Dermablend Setting
  5. Apply your blush to the apples of the cheeks: Milani baked blush: Dolce Pink
  6. Apply bronzer to the forehead and cheekbones to define the face structure: Hard Candy: Tiki
  7. Apply the highlighter lastly on the upper cheekbones and down the center of the nose:         Laura Mercier baked highlight
