Valentines Vixen

I got to glam the gorgeous brazillian beauty, Nadya Cox, this past week for a fun Valentines shoot for her site! We went for a bronzed/gold smokey eye, thick lashes, and a bold red lip. I used my favorite new foundation palette from Eve Pearl, for her flawless complexion. We stayed light on her contouring and bronzed her up with some yummy Chocolate Soleil bronzers from Too Faced! Learn this sexy date look below!

Also, I know you all have been asking about when I am going to start a You Tube channel and I just wanted to write a quick note explaining why I still haven’t! I currently work full time running my makeup business Kissable Complexions , so I blog late at night when I can. I have had no time to film videos because of my schedule and I am so sorry it has taken me so long! Blogging is my side passion to share my work and the products that I use and love. I promise that as soon as my schedule calms down I will start a You Tube channel, I know it will be much easier to learn how I do these looks that way. Until then, I hope you all can enjoy my tutorials this way and thanks for being so patient! XOX
Get the look…
Primer: Tarina Tarantino Primer * I was gifted this lovely primer and I love how glowing and dewy it makes my skin look before foundation. It creates a pearl shine before other makeup is applied.
Foundation: NARS Sheer Glow in “Mont Blanc” – I got a sample of this foundation and loved the way it made my skin look. I will do a full review soon. I like medium coverage so I had to apply two layer of it to the skin with my Bobbi Brown foundation brush,
^I am giving one of these brushes away below {worth $40} | It is one of my holy grails!
Concealer: MAC NW20 under the eyes with the same BB brush.
Cream Contour: MAC Studio Stick NC40 – Applied under the cheekbone, temples, forehead, jawline, sides of nose. Blended with a damp beauty blender.
Powder: Set everything with a setting powder that doesn’t mattify your face too much, this look is really dewy, so if you have oily skin set your face more.
Highlight: La Bella Donna Luminere glow – a pearl shine powder. Apply down center of nose, cheekbones, forehead, between eyebrows, inner corners of eyes, and brow bone! Shine on baby!!!
Blush: NYX Baked Blush “Ladylike” a light pink blush with gold shimmer.
Eyes: Sephora- “Girl Talk” rose gold shimmer– apply to the eyelid.
Crease: OCC pigment “Dope” bronze gold loose shimmer- apply into crease.
Outer corner: Apply any dark brown to the outer corner to make it more dramatic.
Eyeliner: Stila Smudge Crayon black – line the top lash line with this crayon and lightly wing out, don’t worry about detail because we will blend it with a small brush. Apply to the inner bottom waterline, into tear ducts, and smudge/blend underneath with a small shadow brush.
I love these lashes so much, they are super detailed and crafted with the most amazing design.
these lashes are almost identical to my favorite House Of Lashes Noir Fairy, if you are in the US and want some, you can get those in place. Huda Lashes will be available soon in the US!
Lips: MAC Fantasy Of Flowers- Rose Lily Sheer Pastel Pink

Get these loose waves…
1. Start off with clean hair.

  • I like to wash my hair with Pureology Hydrate Shampoo. This is great for getting all the oils out of your hair without stripping it of the color.
  • I then like to condition my hair with a new conditioner I just started trying: Its A 10 Miracle Deep Conditioner This product is amazing, and I really mean that. I am very picky with conditioners… sometimes I don’t even use one, but my hair needed some extra love so I picked this up.  It helps detangle, adds shine, repair damage & split ends, gives body, and so much more!
2. Blow dry your hair. I like to flip my head upside down and brush it with a round bristle brush while it dries. This will give your hair that silky smooth feeling and keep it from becoming frizzy.
  • Once your hair is dry, apply a serum/oil to the hair from the middle all the way to the ends, avoiding the roots. I like to apply a dime quarter size amount of the Moroccan Oil. This will help protect your hair from the heat when we use the curler also.
3. Heat up a large curling wand for the next step. I suggest a 1 1/2″ or a 2″ iron to achieve these Victoria Secret like waves. If you use anything smaller they will be too tight and not look the same. If you have shorter hair I would suggest a 1″.  I used the Hot Tools 2″ .
  • Start by parting your hair down the middle.
  • Starting from the front, grab one inch and wrap it around the barrel until the middle of the strand. Remember to wrap the hair away from your face each time- not towards it.
  • Hold it there for about 5 seconds.
  • Let it set, don’t brush through it just yet, and move onto the next inch strand.
  • repeat this all the way around your head.
  • Once you have done this to your entire head, flip your head and spray with a hair spray. I like to use Kenra Volume Spray
  • Flip your hair back and fluff with your hands. If you need extra volume at the roots you can tease them. I finish off this look with my Moroccan Oil Shine Spray , this is my favorite finishing spray to add a beautiful healthy shine to the hair. I am giving one of these away below!
